Remember that one time when I talked about an amazing iPad app maker coming out with an equally amazing iPhone version? Well it's happened again.

There's no type of app I've searched for more than a decent news aggregator. I really think I've tried them all. When I got my iPad, I got Flipboard because everyone was talking about how amazing it was. (It really is amazing.) It lets you pull in any RSS feed you already have, but it also provides a slew of topic-based "boards" you can subscribe to based on your own interests. Also, due to the app's popularity, big media companies have begun creating their own boards you can add (i.e. Elle, The New Yorker, ESPN, Rolling Stone, etc.).

The great thing about this app versus others is that it lets you aggregate more than just news. You can pull in all of your social networking feeds like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. PLUS the app lets you then share any of the news you are reading to those accounts. Best feature of all? It's sooooo pretty. (Watch the video above for a demo.)

Oh and it's free. That's probably the ultimate best feature.

Do you like jazz? Coming from Louisiana, I think it's only right that I love it. A handful of years ago, I got really into Jamie Cullum's music. If you're not familar with him, you need to be. He's an English singer/songwriter that infuses jazz with pop and hip-hop melodies...but then makes his own style entirely. He plays piano and drums and guitar and sings and writes. He's like a musical anomaly. And if you EVER get the chance to see him live....I can't even talk about it. (....I've seen him many times. It never gets old.)

Back in 2009, Jamie started hosting a weekly jazz show on BBC 2 to showcase jazz. Not that I want to admit how often I listen to BBC Radio (a lot), but if you're at all into jazz, you should listen...for nothing else than hour's worth of British accents (love me some British accents).

The show is available online and airs every Tuesday night (GMT). Jamie usually has a jazz artist as a guest and sometimes (if we're lucky), he plays with them on air. It's such a nice addition to my Wednesday morning.

So did your New Year's resolution include anything involving fitness/health? Mine did...and here we are over 2 weeks into January and I'm still struggling. I actually sat around on the couch all day last Sunday. I told myself I would work out...but really I just watched a Bravo marathon and made a vat of chili. No, really. It was an entire CrockPot of chili. And cornbread. And Fritos. (It was soooo good...I'm just trying to be honest.)

I really hate the idea of working out in a gym, so I've been searching the app store for an alternative to the gym. Enter the Nike Training Club app. It's a free app provided by Nike that offers a wide mix of workout routines that you can do in your home - with or without weights.

There are 4 different work out tracks - Lean, Toned, Strong, Focused - which total 86 different routines. You can also unlock celebrity workout routines as rewards for how many minutes you work out, plus the app can sync with your music library so you can listen to your own playlist. The app was initially targeted women, but it was redesigned to include both men and women in version 2.0.

The only major caveat to the app is its size (616MB) which is understandable since every workout comes with video & audio instruction. It's also only available on the iPhone (Sorry Androiders. I've got an app for you next week.)

If you have the space and time, I'd highly recommend this as an alternative to the treadmill.

You may remember last year I posted about Ikea's unique ways of advertising in the Paris Metro. Well, they're at it again and this time, they've created mini-apartments INSIDE the metro. The craziest part? Five people actually volunteered to live in them for a week.

It's obvious that the Paris metro must be entirely different than the ones we have in the States. Could you imagine setting up shop in the NYC Subway? That place would be robbed and sold for parts by day two.

#NowPlaying is a weekly feature highlighting one of the many new albums released each week.

Do you listen to Snow Patrol? I personally love a good depressing album just as much as the next twentysomething drowning in their existential crisis, but there's only so much Snow Patrol I can listen to before I need a shot of Vitamin D and a 00's pop playlist (mostly filled with Britney Spears hits...no judging).

With that said, the single "Called Out in the Dark" off of their new album Fallen Empires is...upbeat? It's an odd departure from the utter depression that seemed to permeate from their previous albums, but have no fear Snow Patrol fans. The rest of the album is as equally sad and melancholy as their last.

"I Love App" is a feature where I gush uncontrollably about the latest mobile app I'm obsessing over. Please don't judge...I just really love apps.

If you are new to the smartphone or tablet world, then you know the most overwhelming point in this new mobile frontier of yours is finding which apps are worth owning and which are just going to pile up in your new folder titled, "SO MUCH REGRET." Hopefully I can help you wade through the millions of apps in the app store and leave you with a handful (or hundred) that are a great addition for any mobile user.

So my latest app obsession these days Snapseed, a photo editing app which is already a pretty popular app amongst iPad users. Within the last month or so, an iPhone version has been released that's actually just as good as the iPad version (which is unheard of). If you are at all interested in taking quality photos with your phone or tablet, I would highly recommend this app - even at the $4.99 price tag. I'm usually not one to buy anything over $.99, but trust me - this is worth it. It feels as powerful as photo editing software, but not nearly as confusing - AND it was the iPad App of the Year in 2011 (so don't just take my word for it...Apple says it's great too).

If you're into pretty photos, pay the $4.99 and try it out.

(....And if it doesn't pan out, blame Apple. They should obviously know you better.)

Now that I have a niece and nephew that are toddlers, I realize how much fun I'm not having as an adult. I don't think I've ever enjoyed gift bows or stickers the way they do. As part of an interactive installation for the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, artist Yayoi Kusama created a white room and gave kids dot stickers to decorate. The results are pretty fun (and BRIGHT).

Do you know how hard it is to find something worthwhile and thoughtful for less than $20? Hey, don't look at me with those judgy eyes. I know there's stuff out there, but I'm not the Love MacGyver. I can't just whip up an anniversary gift with a toothbrush, a couple pens, and an empty pack of gum (yes, that is the contents of my purse). I love Coke. No, not just the actual product, but EVERYTHING about them. Their marketing. Their advertising. Their brand. I eat it up. They just can't go wrong in my eyes (in fact, when they do go wrong, it still ends up right).

That said (proudly), Coke is putting out a new Diet Coke design this Fall. Coca-Cola HQ isn't giving out much info on how long the design will stick around and what it all means, but that just means I get to wonder for weeks and then fawn over everything Coke decides to do with the new design.

Don't act like I'm weird....you know you love Coke too...

Since Mad Men has been on hiatus for what seems like EVER, I've been on the lookout for a new show to obsess over. ABC is premiering a show in September about the infamous Pan Am airline that was so popular throughout the 50s and 60s. It looks like they got the time period down, but.....where's Jon Hamm? What is a 60s-based TV show without Jon Hamm? A failure, that's what.

Fine. Maybe not. I'm actually hoping this one does pan out (get it..."pan"...like Pan A....ok I'll stop).

Velveeta has a new ad campaign created by the same agency (W+K) that brought about the hilarious Old Spice Guy. W+K's fingerprint is obviously all over this campaign, though I don't find it to be nearly as funny as Old Spice. Sure, Velveeta's target audience is probably a little less welcoming of a half-naked man riding a horse selling their products, but I expect no less from W+K now.

I thought we had figured out how to share practically everything socially, but here is a new concept that could be interesting to watch if for no other reason than to see what happens. A guy named Jonathan Stark is doing an experiment in social sharing called Get A Coffee, Give A Coffee. The idea is simple. Stark provides a screenshot of his virtual Starbucks card for anyone to use whenever they want. (Every Starbucks has a scanner that allows people to use their cell phone to pay for purchases. Instead of using your own Starbucks card info, you just use his.) He also provides information on how to refill the card to allow anyone to fill it up if they want. Get a coffee. Give a coffee.

If you follow him on Twitter at @jonathanscard, you'll get updates on the balance of the card to know when it needs a refill or when it's good to go. It's basically one big shared Starbucks card. Fun, huh?

So, my co-worker had the audacity to bring homemade red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting into work last Monday. She didn't only bring them in, she brought in like..a dozen. Now, let me paint a picture for you. Our office is a satellite office to our much larger headquarters, meaning there are only about 5 of us at the office on any given day. 12 cupcakes / 5 people = tight jeans. So, I decided I would eat one Monday and then let it be. But then there were still some on Tuesday...and Wednesday...and I think even Thursday.

Yes. I ate one everyday. Stop judging me.

Cut to yesterday afternoon when I get this IM: "btw - making these this weekend. want me to bring some in on monday?"

Well now it's obvious. My co-worker is trying to make me fat.

Yeah that's right. My celebrity boyfriend jumping from a fireball eating an ice cream cone wearing Armani. I'm not sure what it all means, but it means something fierce. (Why else would you eat ice cream while wearing Armani?)

Look, I'm all about working hard for the money. In fact, I sometimes channel my inner Donna Summer at work and belt out a few of her lines to remind my co-workers just how hard I do work for the money (hard enough to sing about it, apparently). Obviously, as an American, I have a distorted definition of the words work, hard, and money, because after seeing this Canadian McDonald's video, I'm not sure if I've ever worked at all.

A recent Canadian promotion for McDonald's "Dollar Drink Days" included freezing 4,000 dollar coins in an ice block and allowing random party goers at a local beach party to chip away at the ice for the coins....and they actually do it. FOR FIVE HOURS. No, not $100 coins, ONE dollar coins. I'm going to be honest. If I was at this party, I'd move my beach chair right next to the block of ice for a little outdoor air conditioning while I wait for the sun to melt the ice and shower me with dollar coins. (Don't they call that "making it hail" or something?) Bottom Line: Work smarter, not harder, folks.

So am I the only one who is behind on this one? You'd think after Ellie Goulding played the Royal Wedding I would have been all over it (given my obvious aspirations of becoming the next Queen of England...I even shopped for ridiculously large hats). After seeing Ellie's name a hundred times, I finally gave in and listened. Ears. Blown.

I knew the royals had good taste....we'd be such good friends.

Although it would seem I have a thing for children's disposable underwear, I swear I just love the commercials.

Last year, I mentioned how much I loved the Huggie's commercial for their new diapers that looked like jeans. This year, I can't get over the latest Pampers commercial. The ad is simple, detailing a dozen situations that all share the same commonality - the miracle of life. I think it's simple enough to resonate with anyone who has ever held a baby. High five, Pampers. You have me talking about diapers....again.
